“The wise use of money is all the value there is in having it,” wrote Benjamin Franklin. Credit Unions are built on that philosophy. We encourage our members to “pay themselves first” by putting a regular amount from each paycheck into credit union shares. By using automatic payroll deduction, this method of saving money is as easy as it is wise. The Credit Union will pool the small savings of our members, thus creating and mobilizing enough capital to make use of money in provident and productive loans to members.
Whether your saving for an emergency fund, a retirement nest egg, or to pay off your credit cards, saving at your credit union can help you achieve that goal as well as help you provide financial security.
If there is a need to borrow, the credit union has pooled the savings of others to make available funds to help qualified members for the purchase of a new car or repair the old one, to consolidate bills, to refinance an existing loan, purchase that new appliance or furniture for the home, or help out in the case of some unforeseen emergency expense.
